firstcase Compliance Commitment
Effective Date: March 11, 2026
Our commitment to you
One month of service credit if our AI provides legal advice due to a Platform defect.
What This Means
firstcase is built for intake and call handling. The AI agent is configured through system instructions intended to prevent it from providing legal advice, legal opinions, or recommendations about legal matters. It collects information, schedules consultations, and routes calls.
The Commitment
If a recording or transcript shows that the AI agent provided what reasonably constitutes legal advice (as described below), and the cause was a defect in the Platform rather than your configuration of intake prompts or scripts, we will credit your account with one (1) full month of your then-current subscription.
How to Claim
- Identify the specific call where you believe the AI agent provided legal advice.
- Email hello@firstcase.ai with the call ID or timestamp and a brief description, within thirty (30) days of the call.
- We will review the call within a reasonable time, generally five (5) business days.
- If we agree that the agent provided legal advice due to a Platform defect, we will apply the credit to your next billing cycle.
What Counts as Legal Advice
For this commitment, "legal advice" means the AI agent: tells a caller what legal action to take or not take; interprets laws, statutes, or regulations for a caller; predicts the outcome of a legal matter; recommends specific legal strategies; or advises on whether to accept a settlement or offer. General information, such as explaining what a consultation involves or describing the firm's practice areas, is not legal advice.
Important
This service credit is your sole and exclusive remedy, and our entire liability, for any instance in which the AI agent provides or is alleged to provide legal advice. This is a service commitment, not a warranty or guarantee that the agent will never provide legal advice, and not a representation that your use of the Platform complies with any rule against the unauthorized practice of law. You remain solely responsible for compliance with your jurisdiction's rules of professional conduct. This commitment is subject to and governed by our Terms of Service.
